In the Strong 4 Life program we aim to teach our clients how to train for muscle growth, functional strength and longevity, while at the same time providing you tools to cultivate habits that lead to a healthy body and a strong mind.

What is the Strong 4 Life program?

Strong 4 Life is a comprehensive 12-week personal training and strength program designed to focus on optimizing your longevity, enhance muscle growth and improve your physique. 

We focus on the vital role that muscle plays in living longer and getting stronger for life. Built on a foundation of science-backed training methods tailored to your individual goals and fitness level.

Beyond training, we work with our strong network of partners to provide a holistic approach to achieving the end goal. This includes nutrition, blood markers and mental fortitude.

The Strong 4 Life program is your 1-stop shop to make lasting changes and set you on the path to a strong, sustainable and healthy lifestyle.

Who is this for and what is expected?

This program is for people who are ready to commit to the process of changing their life. With this in mind our Strong 4 Life Athletes should be ready and willing to go through some real and sustainable changes. They will be guided through the entire program by their assigned Strong 4 Life coach, who is available for them every step of the way.

Muscle

In the Strong 4 Life program the goal is to build muscle and strength. The role of muscle mass for longevity and health is very clear in scientific literature. Doctor Gabriel Lyons states, “Most health issues confronting adults are not a result of being “overfat” but being under muscled.” The more muscle you have the easier it is to have better body composition. 

Function

The exercise selection in your custom program is designed to improve/restore healthy function of the joints. Being strong for life means being capable to take on the daily tasks that life throws at you. Whatever physical challenges life throws at you, the more muscle and functional strength you have the more prepared you are to face these.

Health

Health improvements come from a combination of training, diet, and supplementation. With support from Valeo Health, we include a comprehensive blood test to identify micronutrient deficiencies. Since nutrition is key to weight management, our athletes receive expert guidance from a nutritional coach to ensure sustainable weight loss. To support this, Strong 4 Life athletes also get an exclusive discount with our meal prep partner, Matter Nutrition.

Mindset

Building a strong mindset will be crucial for making sure the habits developed over the 12-weeks become part of your life and ensuring results from the program are sustained for life. Just by following the program, you will develop the mental fortitude you need for sustainable results. How do I get started?

Start of by sending us an enquiry. A member of our team will get in touch by phone to for an initial screening.

From there, we will invite you down to Desert Barbell to meet with your assigned coach who will gather more information and discuss the package with you. This will give you an opportunity to see our awesome community based gym.

If you are happy with everything, including timings and your assigned coach, you can then proceed to purchase the package.

What is the structure of the program?

  • 12 week program with 3 PT sessions per week. Every session is 1 hour, total of 36 sessions.
  • PT sessions are structured through directives from S4L program directors and tailored to fit every clients specific needs
  • Measurements at week 1, and again at week 12
  • Blood Test screening Week 1 and again at Week 12 (Included in the package, provided by Valeo Health)
  • S4L testing Protocol Week 1 and again at Week 12
  • Nutrition screening Week 1 and weekly follow up until Week 12
  • Complimentary consultation with AW Life Transformation Academy in Week 1, followed by exclusive discounts to sign up

What is included?

What do the training sessions entail?

  • 60 minute sessions
  • Warmup 5 minutes to be done before the session
  • 2 compound movements (15 min)
  • 6 muscle focused movements (35 min)
  • HIIT training (10 min)

How long is the program?

12 weeks from start to finish. We will require one week prep time before commencing the program.

What happens at the end of the program?

Our goal is to make sure you keep up the good work. S4L athletes will receive special rates on PT packages and memberships to DB so you can continue your journey with us.

What is the testing protocal?

  • Body weight
  • National Institute For Health & Care Institute WHtR (Waist-Height-Ratio)
  • Assault Bike Test 15 or 20 kcal (coach will judge individually)
  • Horizontal or vertical press (1RM)

Should I make use of the added benefits?

You do not have to make use of the added benefits, however if you want the full benefit of the program, we suggest that you do!

Is this for beginners?

Absolutely yes. No matter where you are in your fitness journey, your assigned coach will help make sure you get the attention and service you need to make it to the end!
